Brief introduction about the facility

A major facility for plant metabolomics and proteomics was established by support of DBT in the year 2011 at Repository of Tomato Genomics Resources, University of Hyderabad. During these years, the facility has successfully established methods for high-throughput plant metabolomics and proteomics. It is proposed that the machines acquired under the DBT grant for “tomato metabolomics project” can serve the larger community for their need for proteomics and metabolomics data in service mode.

The overall objective of the above project is to provide the interested users the high-throughput metabolome and proteome analysis. In addition, we will also train the users to comprehend and execute the analysis of metabolomic and proteomic data, by conducting annual hands-on training workshops.

RTGR has all essential equipment for the storage and preparation of metabolome and proteome samples. The following machines under SAHAJ program are available for analysis of plant proteomics and metabolomics samples.
