Workshop and Training at RTGR
The "1st National Workshop on Plant Metabolomics: from Sample Preparation to Data Analysis" was held at Repository of Tomato Genomics Resources, Department of Plant Sciences, University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad from 26th February to 2nd March, 2024. The aim of the workshop was to hold training program on Plant Metabolomics for the interested users as part of the ongoing DBT-SAHAJ project using an in-house instrument, Pegasus 4D ® GC x GC TOF Mass Spectrometer. The workshop has been jointly organized by DBT-SAHAJ (Scientific Infrastructure Access for Harnessing Academia University Research Joint Collaboration and University of Hyderabad, an Institute of Eminence (IoE). The workshop consisted of talks and hands-on sessions on extraction methods, identification of primary metabolites, volatiles, cuticle and wax components and data analysis. We invited applications from PhD scholars/scientists all over India and selected 12 applicants from various research Institutes. The participants who were interested to use Plant Metabolomics for their research were selected based on their write-ups.
The "2nd National Workshop on Plant Metabolomics: from Sample Preparation to Data Analysis" is proposed to be held in December 2024.
